Storytelling Workshop: The Regulars

Searching for a sense of community as a queer transplant in Chicago, Row Light discovers Nobody's Darling, a bar on the city's north side owned by two Black women. For many queer individuals, the bar has become a sort of second home. Light paints a picture of the bar and its community through talking to regulars, and celebrates the importance of truly inclusive queer spaces.

This segment was produced by Row Light for Vocalo’s Fall 2023 Storytelling Workshop. Vocalo’s quarterly Storytelling Workshop took place this fall with five segments produced by community storytellers, uplifting the voices of individuals who add to the rich cultural diversity of Chicago.
