Simone Luster And Family Carry Luster Products Into A New Generation

Simone Luster is part of a new generation of family-owned Luster Products — the internationally-selling, Black-owned hair care manufacturer based in Chicago. Established by Simone Luster’s grandfather, Fred Luster, Sr., in 1957, Luster Products has now spanned three generations of Lusters all dedicated to carrying on its founding legacy: serving the Black community internationally, and giving back to communities in need locally.

Simone, the e-commerce manager for Luster Products, stopped by the Vocalo studios last week to sit down with morning host Bekoe and WBEZ’s Taylor Nazon to discuss connecting with a 21st Century market and carrying on Luster Products for future generations.
