Sidewalk Chalk combine musical complexity with lyrical directness on "An Orchid Is Born"

On their new album, "An Orchid Is Born," Chicago collective Sidewalk Chalk deliver an impressive 16-track collection of complex and intricate Hip Hop / Jazz / Soul fusion punctuated by Rico Sisney's direct socio-political lyricism. Rico spoke with Jesse Menendez about the new album and his thoughts on why he chose to be more explicit and direct in his writing this time around.
