Peter CottonTale & Merit Music’s Emma Harmon Discuss the Importance of Music Education

For more than 40 years, nonprofit Merit School of Music has strived to help transform the lives of kids and young people through providing accessible, quality music education. Tuesday, Merit hosted artists including alum Peter CottonTale for a benefit concert to raise money for the nonprofit. Emma Harmon, Merit’s individual giving manager and another alum, organized the event and stopped by the Vocalo studios Monday morning with Peter to sit down with Bekoe and break down the event, as well as give listeners some background on the organization.
