Grasshopper Club Is Bringing Equality Into the Cannabis Business

Grasshopper Club is the first Black-owned dispensary in Chicago — and they celebrated their grand opening on February 14. Vocalo’s morning host Bekoe sat down with co-owner of Grasshopper Club, Matthew Brewer, to discuss the meaning behind being the first Black-owned dispensary in the city. Brewer also detailed getting started in the industry, the stigma cannabis has in Chicago and in the Black community, and how starting this business is his family’s way of building generational wealth.
