When NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Contest: On The Road tour stopped in Chicago with its winner, Utah band Little Moon, on July 6 they enlisted support from fellow contestant Ephraim Bugumba as an opener. Using guitar as his main instrument, Bugumba creates a harmonious atmosphere with his smooth chords and melodies. Before the performance, held at The Subterranean, Bugumba joined Vocalo morning host Bekoe to discuss the show on the air. They also delved into Bugumba’s name change, his backstory as a refugee, time on American Idol and what it means to learn music.
This segment was hosted and produced by Bekoe. To learn more about Ephraim follow him on Instagram @Ephraim_Official.
