Elegance Bratton Discusses ‘The Inspection,’ and Triumph Over Adversity

Inspired by his own life’s story, ‘The Inspection’ is Elegance Bratton’s debut feature film — a story of a young, gay Black man who, after facing rejection from his mother and with few options for his future, joins the Marines. It’s a story of triumph over even the most oppressive adversity and prejudice. Elegance virtually sat down with Vocalo’s Ayana Contreras to discuss the film, its reception and his story which inspired it.
