Da$Htone draws on personal experiences in search of meaning with soulful hip hop fusion

Chicago Hip Hop collective Da$Htone was created with the idea of blending live organic hip hop, jazz, funk, soul, and r&b, to serve as the backdrop for the group’s MC, Da$H to musically unpack the experiences of those he encounters in life. Jesse Menendez spoke with Da$H about his group’s album Scuffed Kicks and how Da$Htone uses music to ‘help find meaning and, hopefully, help others along their way.'
