Singer-songwriter PawPaw Rod made his Lollapalooza debut this weekend, seamlessly blending the sounds of retro soul with modern influences. But his cultivation of style doesn’t end with his music — PawPaw Rod describes his fashion sense as “something old, something new and something borrowed,” taking inspiration from his family, his surroundings and his childhood interests. He spoke with Vocalo’s Nudia Hernandez about finding his personal style, being “from everywhere” and the welcoming nature of Chicago.
