Achilles' heel is a story of a destructive weakness despite overall strength.  Despite his greatness, his heel was enough to lead to his downfall.

There are a few things about your end-of-year appeal that, though they may seem small, can drastically affect the money you raise. A few pointers that can make a difference:

  1.  FORMATTING:  Indent paragraphs
  2.  PARAGRAPHS:   Short, four lines or less
  3.  Maximize the magic word "YOU"
  4.  Have a clear and compelling goal
  5.  Don't waste THE most read part of the letter:  The P.S.
