An excerpt from my story "The Last War & Other Stories"

Agrasena smiled back. He said, “I never knew so many different civilizations existed. Veera Raghvan explained me while on my trip here.”
Princess Itzel said, “Yes, that is true. And there is life thriving in so many of these stars that we see above. The sky people keep coming from time to time. And we learn so much from them… sometimes they too learn from us. That gives them immense joy as well.”
She looked back at the stars even as she spoke. Agrasena looked up. He was remembering Charulata. Just then he took out the small dancing pose statue of Charulata from the cloth tied to his waist over the dhoti and looked at it and smiled.
“Who is she?” asked Itzel. “She is Charulata, my love.”
Itzel was first surprised and then she controlled her emotions.
