Welcome back to another episode of the Up in the Air podcast with your host, Elena B. This episode features a special guest, my former colleague and friend, Michelle.
In this episode, part 1 of a 3 part series, we talk about toxic management traits such as: micromanagement, the inability to accept and acknowledge feedback, blaming others for their own mistakes and poor communication.
As corporate professionals who have gained significant insights on toxic manager characteristics we have a lot to say about hostile work environments and this conversation covers our experiences, the bad, the worse, and the ugly.
Toxic traits in managers, such as emotional immaturity, insecurity, and low self-esteem, can be challenging to spot, especially when the toxicity is subtly embedded in the workplace.
We hope these episodes help you to recognize these traits so you can make proactive decisions to either escape, cope with, or instigate change in the toxic work environment can help to alleviate the impact this toxicity can have on the individual.
