14. Peggy McNaull, MD - Opioid Stewardship, Anesthesiology, Transition to Chair of Anesthesiology

AnesthesiologyPeggy McNaull, MD, is the John Rowlingson Professor and Chair of the University of Virginia Department of Anesthesiology and is a Pediatric Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist. She is the first female Chair of Anesthesiology at UVA.

Dr. McNaull has a long track record of improving quality and outcomes for patients. She started the University of North Carolina Medical Center's Opioid Stewardship Program, which has had tremendous success and results. We talk about her passion in quality metrics,  transition and onboarding to her Chair role at UVA, and her leadership style. She is a wonderful person and leader.
