Building Community with Eva Machado

In this episode I had the honor to speak with Eva Machado of Purpose People Co. We had been planning this interview for a while now, but we made it happen and I am so excited about it. 

Eva started as a nurse. After working as a nurse for several years and seeing first hand how many exhausted nurses struggled to be fulfilled in their careers, Eva started to explore why.

She secured the LLC for Purpose People in June of 2019 before she ever knew she would launch the brand because she knew nurses needed a community and support.

Since her first product launch two years ago, Purpose People was the start of the place where nurses come to feel seen and heard in the highs and lows of their careers. The brand has since shipped thousands of orders, created free community resources and raised thousands of dollars to several causes. Our initiative to provide care packages to COVID nurses which got national media attention and was featured on Good Morning America.

She is on a mission to support nurses in the biggest way possible. Not only constantly coming up with the next tee design or inspiration that nurses need, but searching for the cause in need.

She likes to call their approach to generosity "cyclical giving". We give in seasons to different areas, as the current need is always changing. We love to adapt and show support where the greatest need is.
