An Immigrant Story with Amalia Garcia Kastberg

UNO Souls Chat: I am honored today to be chatting with Amalia Garcia Kastberg— an UNO Soul. She is the author of The Story of Amalia.

Amalia Garcia Kastberg is a marketing executive in the Washington, DC area. She is a very kind person and understands the true meaning of giving back. Her family originally came from Spain. She has written a lovely book for children where she explains her immigrant story. This is an important story for children to hear so they understand that many of us have gone through what they might be experiencing.

Words of wisdom: “We can all be agents of change in big and small ways. We can all use our voice for positive or negative. I think that we have an opportunity every day and a choice every day on how we are going to live our lives. I think that this pandemic has given me an opportunity to not take for granted what really matters. And it has made me realize what little we really need in life to be happy. Positivity and passion—much like COVID—are very contagious and we can spread it quickly. Be true to yourself and spread your positivity and passion.”
