UnMuted: Memory

Communities, cultures, traditions, technologies… tune in and hear researchers from CCCU’s Communities and Cultures Research Hub, as well as voices from the community, discuss the themes that shape the world of today.

This first episode explores the fascinating theme of memory, diving into the topics of the Spanish Civil War and its recollection by affected communities, as well as the different ways we grieve — as communities and as individuals — with a focus on photographs and their anthropological significance.

Featuring insights from guest academics Ruth Sanz Sabido, Miranda Hutton and Maya Mayblin, as well as a number of individuals recounting their involvement participating in their fascinating research projects, this 45 minute episode sets to offer a wide spectrum of experiences surrounding memory and grief.
