I loved my new husband with all my heart, but the first thing I knew within months into my marriage was that I was constantly challenged at being what everyone told me being a "wife" was to be. The image that has been painted by society and even those that I trusted, I failed all the time. I didn't fit, I didn't sound like one, and I sure didn't act like one.
I struggled greatly with the picture of how relationships were suppose to be and how wives were suppose to be. I was not made to be a "STEPFORD WIFE".
