The idea that there is nothing that is immaterial and that all things are and come from matter is a BAD IDEA. What came first? The chicken or the egg. Why is it important to God for us to understand the nature of reality? We are sustained by that which is immaterial. We live not by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
