What does a non-Christian think when a believer describes themselves as saved? "Why do you think your better than we are?" is often a response you hear. When saved we are better off than the unsaved but never better than the unsaved. Atonement allows us to be with God.  It allows us to be with God blameless. Atonement cancels our debt of sin and removes its power over us.  Leviticus 16:1-10
