1 John #10: Battle of Faith

If Jesus and Satan are completely opposite from one another. What is it they have in common? If they are complete opposites according to verses like John 10:10 how are they similar? The thing they have in common is they desire us to follow them. Jesus desires us to follow him into authentic life and Satan to extreme death. Who do we put our trust in? 1 John 5:1-5
