Government officials mum on ET truth to avoid hard questions

It is clear to anyone who has studied the UFO and extraterrestrial problem that disclosure will cause some people to panic. It will also cause government officials to constantly field innumerable - and largely unanswerable - questions from the press and public about the situation. This is one of the biggest reasons governments have opted to maintain a secrecy policy on the subject.
