Romans 8:14-16 - The Family of God

As Paul continues his argument of the Christian's full assurance of salvation, he explains one of the most beautiful and intimate truths of the believer's relationship with God... That of a beloved child. We will examine what it means to be part of the family of God.

• To be part of the family of God means to:

  • Be led by the Spirit (v14)

  • Have brothers and sisters (v14)

  • Be adopted as a child of God (v15)

  • No longer be a slave to fear (v15)

  • Cry out to God as Abba Father (v15)

  • Have assurance of this relationship (v16)
