Romans 12:14-21 - A Living Sacrifice: Love for Our Enemies

After talking about the love Christians must have for one another, Paul now shifts his attention and takes it a step further. Not only should the Christian love other Christians, but the Christian is also called to love their enemies.

• Love the enemy who persecutes (v14)

  • Living a sacrificial life to God will bring on persecution

  • The Christian is to respond to persecution with blessing, not curses

• Love the enemy in these ways (v15-21)

  • Love your enemy like you would another believer (v15-16)

  • Love your enemy by doing what is right (v17)

  • Love your enemy by being a peacemaker (v18-20)

  • Love your enemy by overcoming evil with good (v21)
