Paul comes to the climax of his argument that God is completely sovereign over all things, including His plan of salvation. As he closes his argument, Paul highlights the mercy of God and outbursts into a doxology.

God's people should not be spiritually prideful, but instead should extend mercy to all.

Who God is ought to bring you to the glory and praise of God.
What God has done ought to bring you to the glory and praise of God.
