James 2:21-26 - Faith that Proves to be Active

In this passage we now look at the next two case studies, this time showing what active faith looks like. In doing so, we will examine the faith of both Abraham and Rahab.

• Abraham's Active Faith (v21-24)
  • Abraham demonstrated active sacrificial faith (v21-23)
  • Abraham is an example that one is justified by works and not by faith alone (v24)
• Rahab's Active Faith (v25-26)
  • Rahab demonstrated active risky faith (v25)
  • Rahab is an example that faith apart from works is dead (v26)
