Back To School! (Freaky Friday, Princess Diaries, Aquamarine, The Lizzie McGuire Movie + Freakier Friday & Weapons)

Two Girl Cinema Club sits down for a longer episode this week and we have a lot to get through before school starts again! Ailish was able to see Together and Hannah watched The Assessment, so we gave full reviews on those two movies to start things off. We also went to see Weapons which was way more controversial than we expected. If you saw the film, let us know your thoughts! To wrap up our weekend of movies, we hit up the drive-in and watched Freakier Friday for ultimate nostalgia. 

Since Freakier Friday was released this past weekend, we figured it was a great time to revisit the original to fit our “Back To School” theme. Freaky Friday still holds up after all these years, and we were blown away by the cast chemistry, timeless jokes, and Jamie Lee Curtis’ knockout performance. We also agreed that The Princess Diaries and Aquamarine held up now that we’re watching them with adult eyes, but we felt The Lizzie McGuire movie left us a little disappointed.
