80s/90s Crime Thrillers (Heat, Wall Street, & more + Final Destination Bloodlines)

We kick off this episode by reviewing the hottest movie of the past weekend: Final Destination Bloodlines. Ailish was a Final Destination virgin, but Hannah is a huge fan of the franchise and has been waiting for this reboot to come out. We give our thoughts and also go over some of the most memorable moments from the franchise over the years. We can’t be the only ones that never get in tanning beds because of these movies right? Since Cannes has been a big topic recently, we also discuss some of the highly anticipated movies and some that might fall a little flat. Listen to the full episode to hear all our thoughts!

Digging into the 80s/90s crime thrillers this week was certainly more of a commitment than we initially expected. Some of these movies were on the long side, but we both felt that all of them held up and did a good job of storytelling. Most of these films were new watches for both of us, and it was fun to see some of these iconic actors in a different light. We’re so used to seeing Robert De Niro in movies like Meet the Parents and Danny DeVito in Always Sunny In Philadelphia, that we forget they were serious actors 20-30 years ago. The movies we chose this week also had common threads in them with casting which was completely unintentional, but worked out really well.
