The 1981 story of Gallipoli was a school trip movie for Stephen Fenech, while Trevor Long has never seen it.
This is less a story of war and more a story of the mindset of a nation and its citizens in wartime. Nothing we can relate to today.
A very young Mel Gibson before his rise to fame stars and brings a sombre mood and reflection to us all as we watch it today around ANZAC Day.
