S1Ep16- A Cleft Lip and Palate Advocate's Journey from Trauma to Triumph

This week on Turning Trauma To Triumph, Danielle speaks to Christine Errico, who speaks about:

1. How she was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate and has had 20 surgeries for her to be able to eat, drink and breathe correctly.
2. Being bullied by kids and parents and hearing parents say if she was my child, I would have left her at the hospital.
3. How her Mom was her medical advocate, but wasn't there for her emotionally.
4. How her turning point was after her Mom passed away. She didn't know where to begin without her Mom, so she started looking up Facebook groups for Cleft Lip and Palate and found people like her. And she started volunteering for Smile Train.
5. How she loves giving hope to kids and people by showing them how their life can be when they are older. And now she gives back by becoming a Confidence Life Coach.
6. There are virtual Annual Conferences for Smile Train and the events are November 3rd and November 4th for free.
