“I don’t want there to be a kid who must choose between their religious beliefs, and participation in sport and recreation - that should never have to be a choice that's made. Whatever choice you make for your own religious path is your own, and it shouldn’t be because sport didn’t allow for it.” - Tina Singh

Tina Singh is an occupational therapist, and content creator and is also the founder of bold helmets. Tina decided to tackle the issue of not being able to find recreational helmets that fit her kids, and with her experience as an occupational therapist in the area of brain injury, she knew she couldn’t let her kids ride their bikes without one. Tina and her husband created their own helmet that would be able to fit their kids and is now sharing these very helmets with the rest of the world for everyone else to acquire. Our very own Sapreet Buttar of the Universal Radio Network conducted a short interview with Tina to discuss the origins of Bold Helmets, and what it means to her to be able to share her ideas and inspiration.

At the beginning of the interview Sapreet and Tina talk about the beginnings of the creation of Bold Helmets and what was the inspiration behind it (1:52), what went on behind the scenes in order to make Bold Helmets a reality (2:47), and where the helmets are being currently manufactured (4:13). Tina then goes on to discuss how pre-sales are currently going (5:17), what motivated her to fill the systemic gap to give light to the next generation (7:16), and how we can include more diversity and inclusion in today’s society (9:33). Finally, Tina shares how the community feedback and support for her and Bold Helmets ever since its launch (10:43).
