In this episode my friend and ‘podcast buddy’ Reuben Wachs interviews me. We explore how I came to be the coach and facilitator I am today, and the part played by my early childhood exposure to bohemian alternative living. We discuss resilience - what it is, why it’s especially important today, and how we might develop it. This is a lovely episode for anyone who would like to understand more of the ‘hidden secrets’ of humanistic psychology.

Reuben started his career working in music, running underground music events of over 2,500 people. He spent 8 years Djing around England and Europe and has played alongside legendary acts such as Moodyman, Peggy Gou and The Shapeshifters.

Reuben is now training as a counsellor, specialising in psychodynamic, person centred and existential therapy. Reuben’s personal favourite approach to therapy is called Internal Family Systems, which is a way of working with your internal parts to create lasting change in your patterns, feelings and behaviours.

Reuben is an avid learner - last year completing his challenge of reading over 60 books during 2021. He decided last year to turn this passion for learning and sharing into a podcast where he explores and shares theories and concepts which he feels can most impact your life. So far Reuben has covered topics such as Transactional Analysis’ life scripts, Jungian Shadow work, Internal Family Systems and many other interesting and useful topics.
