This week Tim looks at the story in Matthew 19 of a young man who comes to Jesus asking him an honest question that was on this young man's heart, ‘what good thing must I do if I’m to possess the life of the age to come?’  and "what else can I do? what am I still short of?"

In this lovely sermon, Tim shares some insights with us  on how we can also learn to come to Jesus in any situation and ask Jesus the honest questions that are in our hearts, knowing that he loves us exactly as we are.

Jesus is not inviting the young man into hardship, he's inviting him into wholeness, into being fully alive. If you want to get there, if you want to go on in life feeling connected, then lose control, don't have it all "sorted out", get active about relationships and loving your neighbors, get outside yourself. Jesus is encouraging us to identify with the poor, get oriented to a different story, then come and follow him.
