What if rather than reading the stories of Jesus as "observers" we could imagine an encounter with Jesus wherein we ourselves experience the authority and wonder of Jesus. If we could learn to do this we would be seeing it for what it's meant for. We could have a whole new life. For some of us we need to rehabilitate our understanding of the authority of Jesus.
