Grace Kafferlin @gracekafferlin, a college sophomore studying music education, has been "twisting" her hair for as long as she can remember. It wasn't until high school that she realized there was a name for this "bad habit." She has also more recently struggled with dermatillomania in addition to trichotillomania. Currently, she has been growing out her pixie cut and working on finding healthy ways to overcome picking and pulling urges.

This episode is brought to you by HabitAware. My Keen2 brings awareness to my trichotillomania by giving my wrist a gentle hug or vibration when I’m doing the scanning behavior. Bring awareness into your life by visiting barbaralally.com/habitaware and use code LALLYLOVE for 10% off sitewide!
