Alayna Offredi has lived with trichotillomania, as well as other body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs) since we can remember. After officially being diagnosed with trichotillomania at 16, Alayna has been involved in the BFRB community and has even attended support groups. Now living in Philadelphia, she is looking to attend an in-person support group in the area. Alayna wants to remind listeners that while she still pulls every day, the shame doesn't pull at her like it used to. Her journey is a powerful reminder that healing isn’t always about stopping the behavior. Sometimes, it’s about stopping the shame.
