This episode of #TNTalks covers essential insights and tips about the proposal submission process for the National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS) annual conference to help answer any questions you may have and hopefully make it less stressful! Because if you are doing great activities, research, programming, advising, partnerships, or other transfer-centric activities, NISTS 2022 is a terrific time to share that with others in the field looking to learn!

Providing the real-deal, NISTS first-time presenter perspective, we are joined by Veronica Montoya, HSI Director at Berkeley City College (previously the Interim Director and Transfer Student Success Activity Director at CSUCI), Tommee McMakin, ASSET Scholars & Student Research Coordinator at CSUCI, and Monica Rivas, Associate Director of Academic Advising at CSUCI! Inspired by attending the conference for the first time in 2020, they shared their insights on how they crafted a proposal as a team.

And for the insider POV, Emily Kittrell, Assistant Director at NISTS (and the superhero who oversees the conference review process and scheduling and so much more!), joins the conversation to shed some light on essential items to keep in mind when developing your submission.

Hear their tips, insights, and advice on how to submit a stellar NISTS 2022 proposal! #NISTS2022
