In 1996, New Testament scholar Richard B. Hays wrote the definitive text on New Testament Ethics for the Evangelical Christian church. In the chapter on homosexuality, he wrote, "same-sex relationships are a tragic distortion of God's created order." Now, twenty-eight years later, he confessed that he got it wrong.
