* Our past interview had addressed why non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) is so critical to our nation’s underserved populations. The idea that one of every five adults have missed needed health care due to lack of reliable transportation is a sobering statistic. Today, we’d like to focus on HOW your non-profit organization, Coordinated Transportation Solutions, makes accessible transportation a reality. First question – how is CTS structured – does your organization itself provide rides to individuals?

* So I understand CTS has a partnership model. Can you explain a bit how you identify potential partners that can provide reliable transportation?

* Many underserved people, such as the elderly, veterans, physically disabled and more, have very particular needs. How does CTS ensure that partners have the appropriate transportation to ensure safe, reliable rides for those in need?

* While customized vehicles are critical to non emergency medical transportation, it seems people must also play a very important role. Can you speak to how CTS ensures their partners network of service providers deliver on quality, empathetic people to manage the transport services?

* I need to ask – with recent legislation, it looks like Medicaid will be very impacted. Does this affect the work that CTS and its partners does – and is there a plan in place for addressing this potential shortfall?

* Any advice for our listeners wondering about the services of the non emergency medical transportation industry?
