Canada’s Queen of Afropop (and a real-life Nigerian princess) releases her fearless and emotionally charged new single and video “Beside Me” with CEAMA House, The Canadian Emerging Artists Music Awards- Artist In Residence Program. The single is raw and emotional. A blend of R&B soulfulness, Hip-Hop edge and Afrobeat rhythm. “Beside Me” is an anthem for belonging, vulnerability, and queer faith.

ZOCHI was chosen as the CEAMA House artist in residence where she was named “CEAMA Afrobeats Artist Of The Year,” with upwards of $50,000 in development funding.

“Beside Me” marks the evolution of ZOCHI’s sound and story, highlighting her strength as a lyricist, vulnerability as a storyteller, and the power she possesses. ZOCHI continues to create music that transcends boundaries of genre, faith and identity. “Beside Me” celebrates that story.
