Today on Too Opinionated we talk with writer/director Paul Howard about his new documentary, A Pebble in the Pond! (Out Now!)
The feel-good documentary highlights the non-profit organization, Assistance League, a nationwide charity that aims help communities with philanthropic programs ranging from donating classroom supplies, clothing and books to supplying teddy bears to law enforcement in giving to traumatized children and providing Assault Survival Kits to rape victims at hospitals. Along with telling the amazing history of the organization and its founder Anne Banning, who founded the Assistance League in the wake of the disastrous 1906 San Francisco earthquake; the film explores the organization’s signature program Operation School Bell. The program provides clothing, backpack, books, and basic necessities to children who are part of the foster care system, low income, or in some cases homeless.
