Today on Too Opinionated, up and coming actor/director/writer Max Talisman comes to visit.
Feeling that there’s very little content for the LGBTQ community in entertainment, Max Talisman is a trailblazer, fighting for diversity and putting all of his efforts into creating a shift in film. In Spring 2021, he plans to start production in Los Angeles on the groundbreaking, GenZ/millennial gay romantic comedy, THINGS LIKE THIS (abiding by all COVID restrictions), which he will not only star in, but it will mark his directorial and screenwriting debut. Being an openly gay millennial man in the industry, he felt that there was a need to create a movie that didn’t tell a story about coming out nor a story about two men already established far in life, but rather a story of the in between.
THINGS LIKE THIS answers the questions about what happens when you fall in love in a big city and suddenly you experience misunderstandings, a reckoning with destiny and all the turmoil that arises in relationships. The story will not only speak to the LGBTQ+ community, but it will also share a universal message of love and how we all run away from those who we need the most.
