Too Opinionated Interview: ICYDAY

No strangers to the spotlight, Los Angeles-based pop/R&B band ICYDAY is the coolest new indie act. Gearing up to release their debut album in Spring 2024, ICYDAY debuted their first song “Open Up” on January 18th, and upbeat dance track “One More Song” (March 8th) which will be featured in the upcoming Netflix film "ROCKBOTTOM" (Stars Jake Bongiovi).

The hot new trio features singer/guitarist/bassist Sloane Morgan Siegel, an influential actor known for Gotham Knights (DC Entertainment video game), BYUTV’s “Dwight in Shining Armor,” and Prime Video’s “Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street.” The group is multi-talented, also comprised of actor and drummer/singer David Bloom known for Disney+’s “American Born Chinese,” ABC's “The Goldbergs,” and Roku’s “WEIRD The Al Yankovic Story.” Rounding out the trio is talented guitarist/pianist Isaac Cohen. 

ICYDAY’s debut song “Open Up” released on January 18th. The catchy laidback single demonstrates the group’s serious musical talent for crafting melody, blending elements of jazz, pop, indie, and funk into a commercial sound that you can just envision in the background of a film or your favorite coffee shop. “Open Up” is an honest song about wanting to know somebody better, the ebbs and flows of a relationship, with tasteful R&B electric guitar and neo-soul sound.
