They say you can have too much of a good thing. But they’re quite wrong!

We see a return visit for a very popular guest President this week, as the members of Tony Slattery’s Rambling Club release TV News Anchor Extraordinaire Simon McCoy from the confines of Tony’s News Dungeon!

Join us as guest President McCoy leads us on a ramble through three special destinations chosen entirely at random with the use of Tony’s enchanted bingo machine. As ever, the omniscient voice of Sir Stephen Fry is on hand to keep a finger on the tiller of the good ship Toss!

First stop is at number 210- Natural Theology. Is there a God? Do we need there to be a God. Can we find our own theology through interacting with nature? Best get the easy stuff out of the way first today I suppose.

Our second stopping point is number 387- Water, Air, Space Transportation. Nice and broad. Why Elon Musk is wrong, why the Earth is doomed, why things never really change on the news are on the agenda for this ramble.

Our third and final ramble takes us to number 616- Diseases. The second time this one has come up! Last time was with Robin Askwith (https://shows.acast.com/tony-slatterys-rambling-club/episodes/robin-askwith-is-he-talking-about-dwarves) and that opened a whole can of worms! Covid, and Long Covid in particular, what Doctors don’t know, the Black Death, why Bramwell Bronte went mad, the hazards of drinking corpse water, James Bond, Lord of the Rings, Neighbours…yep. Another can of worms awaits.
