On this episode I sit down with Former Chief of Police Shelley Zimmerman, and one of her first partners on the force, my cousin Gary Lawrence. Both retired from the police dept., and we talk about the pros and cons of being a police officer and tell some stories from the field. Chief Zimmerman went undercover at a high school BEFORE there was such a thing as 21 Jump Street! First female SDPD Chief, and her 35 years sets a record for female sworn officers. Her post career endeavors include training for an Iron man triathlon and a 640 mile bike ride to raise money for charity. My cousin Gary is also on the podcast. (Just kidding Gary… )
