It's been one of the hottest summers in many parts of China. Record temperatures have baked vast areas of the east with Shanghai hitting the 40-degree mark. We have also seen a drought in the southeast of China, floods in the southwest in Sichuan, more floods in Heilongjiang in the north east and even snow in Xinjiang in the middle of August.
