Our focus creates our reality and has a profound impact on our experience of the world. What we choose to pay attention to shapes not only our thoughts but our emotions, actions, and ultimately the results we get in life.

• Mental blinders can both help us achieve our goals and prevent us from seeing the complete picture
• What we focus on grows—positive attention breeds positive outcomes, while negative attention breeds negative results
• Social media algorithms and our brains work similarly, offering us more of what we've previously engaged with
• Changing our thoughts changes our physiology—shifting from "I have zero energy" to "I'm someone who gets stuff done" creates actual energy
• Taking custody of our minds allows us to direct our focus toward what serves us
• Our neural pathways become deeper with repetition, making it harder to change established thought patterns
• We can choose which mental "windows" to look through, selecting perspectives that help us become better people
