On the sixtieth episode of the TLOY TALKS podcast, Etobicoke-born, Malton-raised/Bowmanville-raised and residing rapper, artist, and founder of Young Soldiers (YS), Solo YS, and rapper, artist, and labelmate 1kJayy, came by to the TLOY TALKS podcast for the first time where Solo YS spoke more about his upbringing, his first introduction to music and who he listened to growing up, his musical background and history along with how the formation on how Young Soldiers came about. He also spoke about his inspiration for becoming a rapper and artist, his influences, his creative process when making music and what a day in the studio is like for him.
Solo YS spoke more about his project, P.A.S.T.D.U.E., his track Introvert, where he sampled Lonely by Speaker Knockerz and how SK's impact in music changed everything in a sense, working with many artists, using autotune in his music which led to a discussion about the impact of autotune in music. He and 1kJayy also talked about a wide variety of topics, such as dissing the dead, mental health, the importance of friendships in the music industry, the Toronto/GTA music scene & much more.
