On the twenty-eighth episode of the TLOY TALKS podcast, Award-winning Toronto-based photographer, studio owner, and former photojournalist Ryan Bolton came by to the TLOY TALKS podcast for the first time to discuss his upbringing, the environments around him and travelling to Toronto at times as a kid and became interested in the city lifestyle. He also discussed his first introduction to photography, getting into photography and taking it to the next level, his first camera body and lens and his first photography project that he worked on and what those experiences were like.
Ryan also talked about how skateboarding, street photography, and music became his main influences when it comes to his creative journey, becoming a concert photographer and photojournalist and shooting at many concerts and festivals, as well as the 2010 G20 Protest that happened in Toronto on behalf of CP24 & CTV. He also talked about the Ugly Beautiful TO project, being an official photographer at the JUNO Awards, his growth as a photographer and creative, working with brands and clients, gentrification in Toronto, working for blogTO & VICE, dealing with mental health, providing longevity in his work, if he has any regrets & much more.
