Professor Selena Bartlett was honoured to receive the Lawrie Austin award for her contributions to neuroscience from the Australian Neuroscience Society. As many may know, she started the journey to become a neuroscientist because of her sister's struggle with schizophrenia. She did not like how she was treated and so went back did her PhD and has been on a mission ever since to learn more about how the brain works to improve the lives of people.

In this lecture, you will learn about everything about the brain and why neuroplasticity offers hope and inspiration to make big changes.  Learn about adverse childhood experiences (ACE score) and how multigenerational trauma is one of the current best explanations for the development of addiction and mental health disorders later in life. We can rewire the brain using neuroplasticity.
