#52: Working AND Dream Chasing? How Sway?!?

I close my eyes and see streets paved in gold! There is no need to work for "the man," I'm living my life with no inhibition, and I'm financially stable. YES! But, these bills... yeah. They come once a month... FAITHFULLY. My dream hasn't matured yet. My dream hasn't made enough money to to take care of my current lifestyle. So, I gotta work.

Thing is... dreamers feel jobs are the DEBIL! You can't be successful with your dream if you divert your attention and energy in something other than your dream. You aren't SERIOUS about your dream if you aren't putting ALL your attention on it. ...and I GET IT...

HOWEVER... allow me to play devil's advocate...

You have bills. You have NO ONE ELSE to pay your bills. So, how do you sustain yourself? Dream chasing is acceptable in your twenties when your parents can still have you on their insurance. But, I'm an old 35 years.... mommy and daddy won't pay for my insurance - and I wouldn't even want them to (at this point).

I'm so conflicted. Your journey is unique to you. Just know, if you HAVE to work, you need to MENTALLY prepare for the DISCIPLINE needed NOT to allow your job to become your habit. Not allowing your job to become your Plan A - by not doing DAILY things toward your dream!

There's nothing wrong with chasing your dream and working at the same time... but check your mindset if you have to. if not, you'll be next in line to archive that dream... and aint nobody got time for that!
